Find books

WJC Library has access to over 150,000 physical and electronic books. If you cannot find the book you want in our library, we will try to order it for you from another library via a service called interlibrary loan.

We have a few different types of books:

  • Regular stacks (shelves in the library): 3-week loan
  • Reserve shelves (textbooks and reference books): 2-hour loan
  • Electronic books: access via web browser on- and off-campus 24/7

All of the regular stacks and reserve books are cataloged in our catalog, called Koha. Only some of our electronic books are in the catalog. The rest are located within two online databases, EBSCOhost and ProQuest.

Once you find an item you'd like to check out, bring the title, author, and call number to the library desk for help retrieving it. You will find all of this information in the book's catalog record.

Physical Items

All physical books (located on the library shelves) have a shelf location and call number included in the record. Bring these, along with the title and author, to the library desk and staff will help you retrieve the item.
